Simple re-writes of an existing paper-based CV, done remotely
and without personal contact with the client to research
transferable skills, will not produce the quality product
required by today's recruitment market.
The consultation meeting will not only draw out your personal
attributes, but will also help decide what type of CV is
most appropriate to your Job Searching strategy. Typical
styles of CV to be considered include Reverse Chronological,
Functional, Achievement and Resume formats.
CHOOSING THE TYPE OF CV WRITING SERVICE
Level 1
If you are just setting out on the job market after leaving
education, or are moving from one job to another, but remaining
broadly in the same type and level of work, then this CV
Service will be the most appropriate for you.
The meeting or telephone call will typically take up to
1 hour and the consultant will produce the draft CV for your
review within three working days. Final adjustments
will be agreed before the master document is forwarded to
the client, either by email or hard copy through the post.
Level 2
If you are applying for a professional, technical, management
or promotional position, then this CV service will be the
most appropriate. Particular attention needs to be paid in
identifying your workplace deliverables and transferable
skills and the meeting will concentrate particularly on these
aspects.
The meeting/telephone session will typically take up to
1.5 hours and the consultant will produce the draft CV for
your review within four working days. Final adjustments
will be agreed before the master document is forwarded to
the client, either by email or hard copy through the post.
Level 3
This service is tailored to senior managers, or clients
who need very specific CVs, relevant to their professions.
Because of the quality of information needed in the CV at
this level, typically there will be two separate meetings/telephone
sessions of 1 hour each, in order to sufficiently identify
the client's strategic abilities and clarify the emerging
core competencies and achievements.
The consultant will produce the draft CV for your review
within five working days. Final adjustments will be
agreed before the master document is forwarded to the client,
either by email or hard copy through the post.

Payment by cheque/cash will be due at the initial meeting/telephone
